Photographer Claudia Holt & "The Dean of Wildflowers" Dot Brovarney, an illustrated talk

This is the last weekend to view “Beauty and the Beast: California Wildflowers and Climate Change,” photographs celebrating the splendor of the state’s natural beauty while raising awareness of threats natural habitats face due to climate change.

Meet the Artist – Photographer Claudia Holt, 11 am – 12:30 pm
Mendocino County Art Association’s next “Meet the Artist” is the third lecture in this premier series, which has been very well attended. The featured artist will be photographer Claudia Holt.

2 – 3:30 pm: Historian Dot Brovarney helps us conclude our Beauty and the Beast exhibition and programs with a presentation on the life and career of one of Ukiah’s luminaries, botanist and horticulturalist Carl Purdy (1861-1945), known as “The Dean of Wildflowers.” Co-sponsored by the Sanhedrin Chapter of the California Native Plant Society, with further support from Exhibit Envoy. Free with Museum admission.
