An all-day Ukulele Festival celebrating the fun and friendly instrument, open to all ages!
An all-day ukulele festival is planned for Saturday, April 14, also at the Redwood Coast Senior Center. The day’s activities start at 9AM with coffee, tea and muffins with orientation at 9:45AM. Instructors this year are Janet Lenore, Mike DaSilva, Dennis Hudson, and one TBA.
Two morning workshops will be held from 10AM until 11:30AM. There will be a long break for lunch so there’s time to head into town to try out Fort Bragg restaurants or bring a lunch and hang out for an impromptu workshop or jam with friends. Afternoon workshops will run from 1:30PM to 3PM and be followed by an open mic from 3:30 to 5pm.
Dinner will be served by the Senior Center from 5:30 to 7:30 PM as a fundraiser for RCSC operations. Following dinner, various performances will be offered by “The Ukeholics” of Anderson Valley and others TBA.
This ukulele weekend will benefit programs at Redwood Coast Senior Center. The Senior Center has been very generous to offer its beautiful facility for the UkeFest and ongoing ukulele group practice sessions on Monday afternoons as well as ukulele instruction workshops.
Stay tuned for more information as plans develop and schedules are finalized.
All-day ukulele festival, $30. Dinner and evening entertainment at a separate fee at the door.
