In addition to our monthly exhibits, art talks and various dance classes and events, Willits Center for the Arts will offer a diverse set of art classes and workshops this spring and summer for Adults, Teens, and Families.

Courses currently available for registration include:
6 Weeks Ceramics Course with Sofia Alaoui April 30- June 4 (hand building and wheel throwing).

Mothers’ Day Clay workshop for two with Sofia Alaoui

Acrylic Painting Workshop with Lisa Galindo: Instructor encourages participants to learn the techniques and to add their own style and to express their feelings in their artwork. 2 classes Saturday and Sunday May 21, 22, 2-4 pm. Adults and teens 16 plus.

Portrait Workshop with Live Model taught by Jazzminh Moore May 24-25.
Flowers with Pizazz Watercolor Workshop with Nancy Collins June 10- 11..
Family Mixed Media Workshop with Lisa Galindo: Start the summer making art as a family! Introduction to watercolors, pastels, and color pencil techniques. Create beautiful and fun paintings, learn new art skills, and take home a complete project after each class. Family class for parents/caregivers and children 6-13 years old. 4 classes June 13-17.

Lisa Galindo is originally from Guatemala and grew up in Antigua. She started working with paints when she was young and won many contests. She works in watercolor and oil. Her specialties include acrylic murals and teaching young and old. Her works have been shown in galleries in Guatemala, Antigua and California. She has recently relocated to Northern California.
