The expressions on our faces are the first impression we make on other people, and our eyes are believed to be windows to our souls. Artists have always been fascinated with human portraiture, depicting everyone from deities, royalty and politicians to family members, working folk and the down-and-out… from all cultures around the globe. Here is your chance to show us what you see in another… a famous, political, iconic or completely random individual. All media are encouraged, both two and three-dimensional.

Open to all Mendocino and Lake County residents, $10.00 fee for the first entry, $5.00 for each subsequent entry, with checks made out to Art Center Ukiah.

Completed entry forms and all ready-to-hang work (NO sawtooth hangers) must be delivered for jurying to the Corner Gallery (201 S State St in Ukiah during the hours of noon and 2 PM on Wednesday July 1st.

Artists are encouraged to email photos of their submissions to acuentries@yahoo.com by the middle of June for possible inclusion in the publicity for the show. A refund will be given to the artist for any work not accepted in the show.

New gallery hours are 11am – 5 pm Thursday through Saturday.
