The ACMC’s Get Arts in the Schools Program (GASP) is to benefit from a three-year grant from the Community Foundation of Mendocino County. The three-year grant will augment the GASP program, which provides arts enrichment to K-12 students in Mendocino County schools through grants to professional artists working and residing in Mendocino County.

The grant will also support professional development for artists and educators seeking examples of successful arts integration that can be adapted to their unique classrooms and practices. This grant is made possible through the Community Foundation of Mendocino County’s Arts For Our Future grantmaking program which was funded by the James Irvine Foundation. Over the past year, the Community Foundation of Mendocino County successfully raised a $100,000 endowment for arts education to match the James Irvine Foundation’s grant that comprises the amount that is immediately available for GASP, signifying the Community Foundation’s long-term commitment to arts education in Mendocino County.
