CANCELLED: The UCCA presents "Le Vent du Nord"

Ukiah Community Concert’s Sunday grand finale with Le Vent du Nord has been canceled because two of the band members tested positive for Covid and the group is not able to fly from Quebec to California.

If you already purchased a ticket through Mendocino Book Company, Mazahar, or Brown Paper Tickets on our website, you will be refunded by our Treasurer, Marilyn Simpson (707-489-4007).

Le Vent du Nord is a highly acclaimed French-Canadian folk band with over two decades of live performances, 11 albums, and numerous awards under its belt.  Its five current members, Nicolas Boulerice, Simon Beaudry, Olivier Demers, Réjean Brunet, André Brunet, collectively play a rousing assortment of instruments including the fiddle, guitar, bouzouki, hurdy-gurdy, keyboard, accordion, and bass. With both traditional and original compositions, the music of Le Vent du Nord (The North Wind) is rooted in the sounds of the Celtic diaspora, though it also incorporates global influences.

Folk music journal SingOut! described Le Vent musicians as “Exceptionally skilled, exceptionally experienced, and exceptionally entertaining.”

The UCCA, in partnership with Mendocino College, follows County and College Covid protocols to ensure the well-being and safety of our audience:
