“Tea & Silk,” featuring ceramics by Cliff Glover and eco-printing by Marion Miller

Northcoast  Artists Gallery is pleased to present the work of two local artists, Cliff Glover and Marion Miller.

“Tea and Silk” expresses Cliff and Marion’s respect for nature as the original source of design.  Taking their inspiration from both the ancient Asian culture of tea appreciation and the narrative brushwork of calligraphy scrolls, the artists combine their reverence of nature and their need to find poetry in objects of everyday use. Marion found in eco printing a new way of creating unique, one of a kind contact prints using the pigments found in local plant materials and traditional hand dying processes. Cliff uses substances such as decomposed granite and coffee grounds in his clay work to suggest the eloquence of organic processes.
