Queenie's Roadhouse - Sharon Garner
Sharon Garner, longtime resident of Elk, is showing a collection of photographs of iconic views of Elk, Mendocino, and her home garden at the Artists’ Co-op of Mendocino this February.
Sharon Garner is inspired by where she lives near the historic town of Elk, close to the ocean, surrounded by her garden. “Everything in Nature has a voice” the artist states. And Sharon listens to the voice with her camera, capturing the nostalgia for a town, the changing moods of sky and sea where the ocean meets the land, as well as treasures from her garden filled with flowers, birds, and butterflies. Every image is a visual poem, her way to “honor where I live.”
