Highlight Gallery is featuring ocean sandpaintings by Jan Peterson and beach found objects assemblage by Jack Gilmour through December 6-31, 2019.
Jan Peterson gathers sand from around the world and has created a form of painting using natural sands that allow us to touch in with a part of the earth, to enjoy and remember the beauty, serenity, color and textures of the earth’s natural ocean coastlines and its inhabitants.
Jack Gilmour, a lifelong surfer, enthralled with beach flotsam and jetsam, composes abstract assemblages, composing with beach found junk, essentially re-purposing trash into treasure.
