San Francisco band "Dirty Cello"

Led by vivacious cross-over cellist, Rebecca Roudman, Dirty Cello is cello like you’ve never heard before. From down home blues with a wailing cello to virtuosic stompin’ bluegrass, the band gets the heart thumping and the toes tapping. Besides Roudman on cello, fiddle and vocals, the band includes Jason Eckl on guitar, bassist Colin Williams and drummer Cory Aboud. Dirty Cello has been wowing audiences with their funky, carnival, romantic, sexy, fiercely rhythmic and textured sounds. The band moves seamlessly between blues to bluegrass and rock in a way that shouldn’t make sense, but somehow does. They play some fantastic covers and their rendition of “Purple Haze” has been termed “incredible.”
