Quirky Tapestry - Wedge Weaves by Deborah Corsini
Well known teacher and fiber artist, Deborah Corsini, will dazzle the Pacific Textile Arts Gallery with tapestries woven in a Navaho technique that defies the horizontal and celebrates design and color.
Pacific Textile Arts Gallery will come alive with vibrant color and lively design with an exhibit of Wedge Weave tapestries by Deborah Corsini. Wedge weave is a technique seen in some Navaho rugs which defies the horizontal, building the weft yarns diagonally. Joining Deborah’s work will be wedge weavings by local weavers: Laine Escola, Ellen Athens, Jennie Henderson, Elaine Todd, and others.
