Historian Linda M. Waggoner examines the life and career of Lilian St. Cyr (1884-1974), stage named “Red Wing,” a Ho-Chunk (Winnebago) actress who was the first Native American Hollywood film star.
The Museum is also showing “Our People, Our Land, Our Images: International Indigenous Photography,” surveying the richness of an emerging body of artwork that explores connections to land, community, and cultural traditions.
