Myths & Masks Workshop with Will Clipman

Acclaimed Arizona maskmaker and storyteller Will Clipman will lead a creative, hands-on Myths & Masks workshop at Willits Community Theatre on Saturday, March 30, from 10am to 2pm. Participants in the workshop will enjoy Clipman’s detailed guidance in how to sculpt a unique “super-you” mask from their own facial casting and then journey into the mask’s personally transformational meaning. Clipman draws on his varied influences as an award-winning poet, Grammy-nominated percussionist, and trained mask-maker to guide participants in a “mythopoetic experience” which culminates in a personal epic saga coming from sculpting the mask, creating its story, and producing a wearable mythic identity.
