Kyoko Hirota & Janice Sullivan New Works

Northcoast Artists Gallery is pleased to present “New Works,” by member artists Kyoko Hirota and Janice Sullivan.

Kyoko Hirota is showing “Unidentified Landscapes,” a series of mixed media drawings of the sea, mountains, and terrains of unidentified locations that may or may not exist.

Janice Sullivan is showing her figure drawings in mixed media. Janice explains:”My figure drawings are about reacting in the moment, and expressing an honest response to the gesture of the model. Each drawing is a process of discovery in trying to visually represent life, energy, motion, and feelings. I prefer to work in charcoal and pastel due to the immediacy of the material and the expressiveness of color.”  Please join Kyoko and Janice and the other gallery member artists at the First Friday Artist’s Reception, November 1, 5-8 p.m. Kyoko and Janice will give an Artist Talk at 6 pm. Refreshments will be served. The show runs from October 30- December 2, 2019.
