Karen E Reynolds and Friends: Art That Moves

Kinetic Art featured this month at the Artists’ Co-op of Mendocino in Mendocino (Kasten x Albion Sts) includes key works by Karen E Reynolds as well as pieces by co-op members and invited artists from the coast community.

Key to the kinetics is the variety of ways visitors interact with the art. For example “Happy Dogs” (30″ x 40″ mixed media by Karen Reynolds) involves releasing balls on a track that zigzags down a painting of dogs chasing and catching balls. “Twitching’ Mitch” (by Robert Rhoades) is activated by push-pull tabs attached to a visual depiction off a well known Congressman.

Additional kinetic art will be added to the gallery displays during the month. Come to enjoy the kinetics as an excuse to browse the entire gallery of diverse works by more than 20 artists.
