Highlight Gallery showing Sally Cataldo and Francine Hurd

We are thrilled to be showing new works from Francine Hurd and Sally Cataldo this month, a dynamic mother-daughter duo whose works have brought joy and inspiration to the gallery for many years.

Sally’s mantra is “Experiment always.” To that end, she clears her studio of all previous work before making a fresh start on a new piece. “My goal is to create a simple, poetic, visual language in my art.”

Francine is inspired by pure beautiful colors – the spontaneity and permanence of pastels and oil have been an influence in Francine’s art – landscapes and figurative work are her favorite subjects. She loves the feeling of the quiet inner peacefulness in painting California’s hills, trees and coastal scenes; and the Impressionist Art Era continues to inspire her.
