Guitar Duo "The Quitters" with Glenn Houston & Stevie Coyle at WCT July 22

“The Quitters”, an Americana acoustic/electric guitar duo of Stevie Coyle and Glenn Houston, will perform at the Willits Community Theatre on Sunday, July 22 at 2pm.

Both Coyle and Houston go back many years in the music business, each having quit some of the best bands in the performance world. Both are late founding members of The Waybacks and each have performed at the Strawberry Music Festival in various configurations. Coyle has a long and illustrious career as an entertainer going back to his childhood, and Houston is best known to fans of the Strawberry Festival for his founding role of the powerhouse Americana quintet, Houston Jones. As individuals, both continue to be renowned players in music circles. Now they have joined forces, to the delight of California audiences, to become a right-handed, right-side-up finger-picking and left-handed upside-down flat-picking twosome. Their guitar sound is mostly acoustic, with some electric and what they like to term, “Much serendipity”.
