A celebration of wildflowers and grasses — “bending in the wind, offering us comfort, and reminding us that the earth is not bare but covered like a blanket in an abundance of gold.” August 7 – Sept 2.
“Inspiration for this series came from reading the poems of Mary Oliver, who expoundsher love of living things,” says Corben. “The title is appropriated from Sting’s song Fields of Gold. If only paintings could move it would be closer to the image suggested in his lyrics: ‘when the West Wind blows, across the fields of Barley’.”
