Dwight’s music draws from many different styles. He is heralded by blues publications and websites, but at the same time injects a heavy dose of rock and roll into a very traditional genre. And while he has been labeled blues, rock, roots and Americana, Shane considers himself an “American Artist” with influences from all of the above.
His latest release, the 2019 “No One Loves Me Better,”was recorded at Grammy Award-winning Kevin McKendree’s studio in Franklin, TN, with a mega all-star cast of players. The sounds of this album are slick, powerful and groove driven, with the heartbeat of the drums and the entanglement of guitars mixing well with Dwight’s raspy voice. This new collection of songs represents some of his most personal yet, gut-wrenching and heartbreaking.
“California by way of Nashville guitar slinger Shane Dwight does indeed play rocked-up blues… he’s adept at Dickie Betts/Allman Brothers southern rock jams, Stonesy blues rockers, and some Pete Yorn inspired chugging roots rock as well,” wrote Paste Magazine.
