Ukiah Symphony Orchestra PSA Concert 3 Feb 8, 8pm & Feb 9, 2pm “Baroque Revisited” Bach/Webern, Tchaikovsky, Schnittke, and Respighi.
Composers often look back to the old masters for inspiration. Baroque Revisited explores pieces written in the baroque style by late 19th and 20th century composers. All of the music on this concert was written 125–225 years after the Baroque period (1600–1750). The most recent piece, Alfred Schnittke’s Suite in the Old Style, was composed less than 50 years ago.
