The exhibit, “Art From Los Choros De Atacama – Chile”, opens in July in the Elaine Jacob Foyer at Gualala Arts. This exhibition will include abstract oil paintings from Los Choros de Atacama by Pablo Mc Clure and Dr. Paul White.
The opening is scheduled for Friday, July 14, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
As described by Dr. White, “The art we have created is from a small town not unlike Gualala in the Atacama Desert of Northern Chile. It also has two small art museums, one of which includes indigenous art from Chile and the other contains native art from Africa. Both Gualala and Los Choros are in close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, and the islands off the coast of Pt. Los Choros are a natural preserve for Humboldt penguins and fin whales, sea lions, otters, birds and other forms of marine life.”
