Art Currents: Music of Transformance

Ancient Current provides more than a Performance:  prepare to submerge in a Transformance. Bathe your spirit in a soundscape of carrier waves to usher personal revelation within the inner landscape of your stillness.  With a focus on the theme of primal Mother energy, the evening will be broken into four unique segments of different types of sound modalities. There will be an invitation to participate in a movement modality for each sound or you may choose to absorb the music in still meditation and reflection. Space will be available to move, or to sit, or to lie down according to how the music moves you.

Ancient Current is a Mendocino Coast-based music group devoted to using sound and music as a vehicle for realization and insight. Group members include talented keyboard player Doug Smith and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Quest. Third member Ron Nadeau is involved with Spirit House in Fort Bragg and plays a multitude of fascinating global instruments, with which you may be familiar from the Ukiahaiku Festival.
