Presented by Redwood Valley Outdoor Education Project (RVOEP) at Ukiah Civic Center, Ukiah CA

Mar 16 2018

This third installment of the five-week International Wildlife Film Festival will offer films that take a closer look at some of the unique behavioral and physical adaptations that help animals survive the challenges of their environment.

The feature film, “Returning Kingfisher” (50 min.), uses ultra high-speed cameras to capture these birds navigating a highly trafficked human-made canal. “Microsculpture” (6 min.) focuses on the intricate adaptations to form exhibited by insects. “Chrome” (12 min.) shows how environmental challenges are affecting a remote North American steelhead river. Finally, “A Leap of Frog” (5 min.) shows the unique physical abilities of frogs in slow motion.
