Mendocino Music Festival Chorale Auditions

The Mendocino Music Festival Chorale, directed by Festival Chorus Master Jenny Matteucci, was formed in 2018 as an offshoot of the much larger Festival Chorus. An 18-person auditioned choir, it was created as the shining light at the top of the Festival’s education program.

Artistic Director Allan Pollack: “I’ve been touched by the dedication of the members of the Festival Chorus, and so have wanted to create an opportunity for people who are ready to take their choral singing to the next level.” Festival Chorus Master Jenny Matteucci reports, “It is a joy to work with a group of singers who are willing to do the hard work on vocal technique in order to make increasingly excellent and inspiring music together.”

The Chorale auditions new and current members every two years. Singers must be vaccinated and all Covid precautions will be followed.

To prepare for an audition, please sing a 2-3 minutes piece in your key. Provide the accompaniment for Daniel Lockert. No a capella singing. Click above for the date and location, and to schedule your slot.
