March 2023- A Word about Women
How are you affected by gender-based disparities in power, self determination and well-being that continue to affect women worldwide in overt and covert ways? We would like to be witness to your story of womanhood in the 21st Century; in any medium that incorporates the use of printed WORDS as an important focus of your art. Have your say in two or three dimensions, in any kind of text, any size of graphic, in one or many words.
Open to all Mendocino and Lake County residents, $10 fee for each entry (limit of 3), with checks made out to Art Center Ukiah. Completed entry forms and all ready-to-hang work (NO sawtooth hangers) must be delivered for jurying to the Corner Gallery (201 S State St in Ukiah) on Tuesday February 28 between 11 and 5 or on Wednesday March 1 between 11 and noon.
Artists are encouraged to email photos of their submissions to acuentries@yahoo.com by the middle of February for possible inclusion in the publicity for the show. Entry fee check will be returned with any work not accepted in the show.
All unsold work must be picked up from the gallery at the end of the show on Friday or Saturday March 31 or April 1, 11-5.
The First Friday opening of this show is March 3, from 5-8pm.
