Flynn Creek Circus Apprenticeship Program

Flynn Creek Circus is proud to offer an apprenticeship program supporting youth performers aged 16 and older.

Apprentices are expected to participate fully in build up and pull down of the circus big top, advertising the show, ticket office or ushering pre-show, to learn about safety and procedure, coupling trailers, and to perform regularly in the show. In short, apprentices are given the 'life skills' to survive and thrive in the performance industry and a 'life experience' that builds confidence and tenacity.

As a core element of the program, apprentices are required to stay on site with the circus. This immersion is an essential element in learning self reliance and for many, it is their first time away from home. For 2017, we have many worthy candidates seeking this unrivaled experience. We don't, however, have any way to house them. This has been and continues to be a struggle for the program. We hope to solve this issue resolutely with a dedicated living trailer exclusively for the Apprentice Program. As always, the problem comes down to money. We have launched this humble Kickstarter to raise the funds.

For anyone who has ever dreamed of running away with the circus, this is your chance to make that dream come true. We are calling on your support to bring the adventure and magic back into childhood and preserve it well into adulthood.
