All artists have works in their portfolios created as a student – or earlier – while learning and practicing their chosen medium. This exhibition asks artists to revisit works from their past and revision them.
After years of practice and insight, how would you now re-interpret that work? How would
you re-interpret a by-gone theme? How would you rework/revision it? Perhaps you’ve changed genres? Have you found a recurring narrative that always crops up in your work? This is an opportunity for artists to delve into their past works and Revision/Revisit. What will the past reveal to you?
This will be a side-by-side show that will allow the viewing audience to see first-hand an artist’s progression and also get to know the themes and narratives which define some artist’s works.
Registration fee is $15 per entry (one entry consists of a total of two pieces: one old and one not older than two years old or previously shown). Two entries (four total) for $25. Up to two entries per artists/person allowed. This show will NOT be judged or juried, and no prizes awarded.
