Wendy toured with Hank Ballard and the Midnighters seeing first hand the evolution of blues to rock and roll, and has performed with Joe Lewis Walker, Big Time Sarah, Otis Rush and Steve Freund.
Since moving to Ukiah seven years ago, Wendy hosts concerts at the Church of Boogie Woogie, live and on-line, produces Hella Piano Night at major theaters, and hosts Blues Invitational at Hopland Tap every Wednesday with special guests from around the country and Europe.
From Seattle to West Virginia, Wendy teaches workshops on blues and boogie woogie piano, transcribed Dr. John for Homespun Video, and created the San Francisco International Boogie Woogie Festival and The Queens of Boogie Woogie.
Wendy served as Vice President of the Golden Gate Blues Society, and was responsible for major funding of the Society’s Musician’s Relief Fund through partnership with the San Francisco International Boogie Woogie Festival, has served as a judge at the International Blues Challenge, and is a voting member of NARAS.
Wendy holds the position of Musician for California State Grange, is a board member of the Ukiah Community Concert Association and the Mendocino College Music Arts Board of Advisors.
