Mendocino County Celebrates American Craft Week 2011

Grab your passport and come celebrate American Craft Week with us! October 7-16, 2011.

Galleries, studios and businesses throughout Mendocino County will open their doors with special shows, events and demonstrations featuring a vast array of beautiful handmade crafts produced here in Mendocino County.

Your passport is your map to find all of the treasures our artists have to share with you. Have it stamped at each stop and enter our prize drawing. There will be a prize for the most spots visited and one winner drawn from everyone who enters. American Craft Week is a nationwide celebration of handmade American crafts and the people who make them. It is a great opportunity to get a jump start on your Holiday shopping or to treat yourself to something really special made right here by our local artisans.

The celebration is county wide with events from Laytonville to the Mendocino coast. . Passports are available at any of the participating venues and on-line.

Participating venues include: The Laytonville Art Walk, The Art Center of Ukiah, The Depot Gallery, Bella Vida, Garden Whimsey, Handley Cellars, Claudia Springs and Bink Wineries, open studios at The Pot Shop, Wax and Bing Pottery and Dazzling Lites studio, Gallery of the Senses, College of the Redwoods and Edgewater Gallery.

Mendocino County Celebrates American Craft Week is sponsored by the Arts Council of Mendocino County and is a free event.
