All Our Waves Are Water

All Our Waves Are Water

Presented by Arena Theater at Arena Theater

Net proceeds will benefit The Surfrider Foundation, a grassroots non-profit environmental organization that works to protect and preserve the world’s oceans, waves and beaches.

Arena Theater and Four-Eyed Frog Books present an evening of oceanic storytelling with award-winning author and surfer Jaimal Yogis.

First, a screening of Saltwater Buddha, a feature documentary based on Yogis’ hit book about running away to far-flung islands, Zen monasteries, and eventually finding his way home.

Following the screening, Yogis will discuss the film and sign All Our Waves Are Water, his July-release memoir that the BBC calls a “Best Beach Read of 2017” and Publishers Weekly calls “captivating” and “beautiful.”

In this meditative memoir–a compelling fusion of Barbarian Days and the journals of Thomas Merton–the author of Saltwater Buddha reflects on his “failing toward enlightenment,” his continued search to find meaning and a greater understanding of grace in the world’s oceans as well as everyday life.

The event is underwritten by Four-Eyed Frog Books.
