Board Game Workshop

Board Game Workshop

Presented by Ukiah Library at Ukiah Library

On Thursday, June 22nd from 5-7pm the Mendocino County Library, Ukiah Branch is hosting a Board Game Workshop.

This workshop is part of our Summer Reading event series theme, “Reading By Design.” Learn how to design your own board games under the guidance of Lori Stubben, a teacher from SPACE and River Oak Charter School. Attendees will also have the opportunity to play board games created by her students.

Lori Stubben has facilitated make-your-own board game events three times in the past to fifth and sixth grade students, drawing from literary and math themes. She personally owns over 100 board games (and keeps at least that many in her classroom, too!), and her current favorites are Dominion, Splendor, and Gloom. Lori loves board games because they foster critical thinking and build connection amongst the players.
