The Emandal Art Stay Poetry Workshop, August 26-30, is based on Armand Brint’s new book: “Bringing Poems to Life.”  The book is included in the registration fee. Workshop combines writing exercises, critique, close reading of sample poems illustrating specific elements, and workshop discussions. Lots of individual attention; beginners welcome. Emandal Farm is located on the Eel River.  This residential experience includes a cabin in the woods, gourmet country cooking, hiking, swimming and more.

Armand Brint has an Master’s Degree in Creative Writing/English and has been writing poems for 50 years. He was the City of Ukiah’s first Poet Laureate.  His poetry books include, “Schools of Light,” “The League of Slow Cities” and “In the Name of Wonder.” Hie new book, “Bringing Poems to Life,” offers a systematic approach to the art of writing poetry. He is a popular Mendocino County poetry teacher and reader.
