Music & Sound Coding Club for Kids

Music & Sound Coding Club for Kids

Presented by Ukiah Library at Ukiah Library

The Ukiah Library is hosting a Music and Sound Coding Club for kids in grades 3-8. Our clubs use instructional videos from Google’s CS First and practice “drag and drop” coding on MIT’s Scratch website.

The Music and Sound Club will begin on Saturday, April 8th, from 10-11:15 am and continue every Saturday for eight weeks. This spring we will be learning how programming is used to create music.  Students will use the computer to play musical notes, create a music video, and build an interactive music display.

CS-First is a free program that increases student access and exposure to computer science (CS) education through after-school, in-school, and summer programs. All Ukiah Library Clubs are run by Ukiah library staff and community volunteers.

Preregistration is required and space is limited. Students arriving ten or more minutes late to the first meeting might lose their spot.  Call 463-4490 for more information.
