Neil Simon’s award-winning comedy hit “The Last of the Red Hot Lovers” will show at Willits Community Theatre from April 20 to May 6.
Starring in three different roles as the women on stage is the wonderful Kelly Kesey. Joining her as Barney Cashman is her real-life husband, Rod Grainger. The play is directed by WCT veteran Don Samson.
It’s 1969 and Barney Cashman is watching the sexual revolution pass him by. “Life goes out of its way to ignore me,” complains the 53-year-old, long-married, New York seafood restaurant owner. Maybe it’s time to break out of the ho-hum hum-drum and have an affair like everyone else. But wait! Barney’s luck runs bad, as the three lovely ladies, each with her own problems, send Barney’s amorous dreams into flaming ruin, each in her own unique and unpredictable way.
Performances are: Friday April 20 at 8pm for $20, Saturday April 21 for $20, Thursday April 26 at 7pm for $15, Friday April 27 at 8pm for $20, Saturday April 28 at 8pm for $20, Sunday April 29 matinee at 2pm for $15, Thursday May 3 at 7pm for $15, Friday May 4 at 8pm for $20, Saturday May 5 at 8pm for $20 and final show Sunday May 6 at 2pm for $15.
