Mendocino Music Festival's 26th season isn't just starting July 7...it's exploding with multiple jazz concerts, four classical music concerts, and two Chinese pipa concerts. The pipa (pee-pah) is an incredible sounding, beautiful, lute-like instrument.

CLASSICAL ORCHESTRA concerts feature Maestro Allan Pollack conducting The Festival Orchestra:
Rossini, Lalo, Beethoven, Ginastera, Tan Dun, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Mahler, Tchaikovsky, J. Pollack, and Mussorgsky.
Les Pfutzenreuter conducting The Festival Chamber Orchestra:
Dvorak and Haydn.

JAZZ with the Tierney Sutton Band, CELTIC music by Solas, Sierra Hull & Highway 111 BLUEGRASS, Chinese PIPA music by Wu Man and Susan Waterfall's Music For a Teahouse multi-media event with tea tasting, BIG BAND JAZZ Orchestra, and BRAZILIAN DANCE by Viver Brasil's, percussion, singing, and colorful costumes will ignite the stage - it's all in the Performance Hall Tent on the Mendocino Headlands State Park.

Plus, daytime Intimate Village Concerts in various venues with MORE JAZZ, MORE CLASSICAL, A CAPPELLA, The JAZZ SERIES, and the PIANO SERIES.
