Workshop Description
Open your eyes in ways 'White Space' can bring life to your paintings." Discover the many ways the white of your painting can be used to set the mood in your paintings. Create a design that sparkles on the positive shapes, connecting white shapes, planning pathways, vignettes, creating the focal point with mostly whites. Learn to save the white of your painting through masking, gesso, negative and positive shapes. You will add drama and mood to your painting with whites.  All Levels   Some experience of watercolor.

About the Instructor
PATRICIA MARTIN OSBORNE is a national award-winning artist who has received wide acclaim for her watercolor and mixed media work in both abstract and impressionistic form. Her work can be seen in many art books, including Artistic Touch 4, featuring 120 of the best artists in the US. She has been teaching at Mendocino Art Center for over 17 years. Patricia studied at CCAC, Oakland and San Jose State University as well as with many prominent artists.
