Organizations - Theatre

Mendocino County is the home of numerous theatre organizations including professional theatrical companies, community theatre, and student productions. Productions range from realistic storytelling to the presentation of Shakespeare, O’Neill and Verde. Mendocino theater productions involve hundreds of professionals and volunteers to develop sets and props, lighting, costumes, and makeup or masks, making it a truly community wide effort. Whether you are an actor or director, ticket taker or usher, audience member or stagehand, community member or visitor, the incredible variety of theatrical experiences available in Mendocino County will inspire and move you.

"Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with shades of meaning." …Maya Angelou ("I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings" 1969)
