Presenting, preserving and promoting traditional culture, presenting K-12 early California dance and music, preservation of historical sites and promotion of art & cultures of California and the world. An educational organization which researches traditional music, dances, costumes, arts, crafts, sciences and technologies that comprise those which were once our native heritage. The Institute makes these traditions available to schools, institutions and the general public. & holds theatrical presentations, lectures, seminars, workshops and exhibitions.

to preserving traditional cultural activities, Redwood
Valley Rancheria hosts classes on Pomo basketry, native
food preparation, storytelling and other Pomo cultural
activities for Pomo adults and school-aged children.
A Pomo basketweaving garden on the reservation supplies
traditional materials such as sedge, bracken fern,
dogwood, redbud, bulrush and soap root. For more information
