Local archivist audiophile is seeking photos of the “local” “coast” (Mad River to Bay Area) “Colors” band – circa late 1974 to early 1976, for a CD cover & slide show presentation.
Bill Mulvihill has digitized recordings made in 1975 of this amazing group of musicians.
If you have any photos, or know anyone that may be able to help, please email bill@artsmendocino.org
These gigs were recorded at various places including Toad Hall, Azalea Acres & Slades, (for those of you old enough to remember those venues…)
The band members were:
Alan Topher, sax & flute
Jerry “Coco” Cofrancesco, sax, flute & vocals
Jim Noyes, bass, vocals
Mark Gauche, guitar & vocals, trumpet
Chris Tay, keyboards, vocals, trombone
Peter White, drums
I can’t say enough about how good this music is… & it would be really great to have some images, (especially of the band on stage, if they exist) to go with it.
Thanks Bill for posting this! Great shot of all my Bros. who touched my life and made me who I am today. Love ’em for it!!
