Russ Christoff: "From Maine to Mendocino"

Russ Christoff’s photography will be accompanied by Wendell Rickon’s furniture in “From Maine to Mendocino.” “There’s a reason or story behind each of the photographs I exhibit,” Russ explains. “I see what my camera captures as a point of departure, modified only enough to convey my experience and what motivated me to select that image to begin with. The art of photography is more than merely capturing a moment in time.” Russ’ latest photographic interpretations of the coast of northern California, are paired with his east coast images, primarily from Maine, and are meant to evoke dreamlike images and, perhaps, take the viewer to another place. Accompanying Russ’ photography will be Wendell’s imaginative rustic, recycled and upcycled furniture.
