Prologue

Once upon a time

Along a road less traveled

Where the air

breathes easy

And the wind

blows free

There survives

A remote sense of place

Where I would rather be

Henceforth

I embarked upon a

New journey of discovery

Would I miss all those

Years of an endless summer

Living, working, playing

Along a coastal southern 
California environment?

I bid goodbyes to all

My familiar associations

In favor of embracing

The unknown, come what may.
