James Armstrong Blues on the Coast

Armstrong released two prior CDs with CatFood Records: “Blues at The Border” (2011) and “Guitar Angels” (2014). Both CDs ranked in the top 40 of the year ratings in Living Blues radio charts.

Seen live, Armstrong has a confident stage presence that combines grace with mischief. Using both slide and pick, Amstrong’s guitar playing is some of the smoothest in the business and he regularly brings his vibrant and welcoming live shows to people around the globe.

Few blues artists know how to play the crowd as Armstrong can, shifting dynamics from a whisper to a growl. Wherever he travels around the world, his magnetism continues to hush a noisy rabble or entice a crowd to follow him out into the street or down the length of a beach.
