"Flight of the Butterflies" at International Wildlife Film Fest

The second evening in a five Friday night series of international wildlife films features “Flight of the Butterflies” (55 min.), the award-winner for best science content at the International Wildlife Film Festival.

This stunning Canadian documentary weaves the life cycle of the monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) into a dramatization of Dr. Fred Urquhart’s nearly 40-year-long scientific investigation of the monarch and the mystery of where they spend the winter. The Washington Post declared the film a “critic’s pick” and “armchair travel at its most engaging.” It is highly recommended for adults and school-age children.

ADMISSION INFO

Tickets are available at Mendocino Book Company or at the door. A series ticket for all five nights is $45. Single tickets are a $10 suggested donation for adults and $5 for children.
