This highly regarded festival captures inspired, original jazz art work, whale education, jazz films, poetry and jazz, an annual Chowder Challenge and tasting and live music in atmospheric and beautiful settings from Jenner to Point Arena.

Check with venues for pricing details. Many events are free, some require a cover charge. Gualala Arts 14th Annual Chowder Challenge features Barnebey’s Hot Four New Orleans style jazz. Concert is free, Chowder tasting is $20. At Coleman Hall, Gualala Arts Center, April 29, 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
