My work is about the elemental and essential, the simple glue or energy that binds people, without labels or stereotypes, to one another. Like a physicist I deal with forces: weight, expansion and contraction, implied movement through the vector of line, and the emotional “tone poem” infused by color. Some recent paintings are about the topic of noon. Yellow is not a color I use terribly often but I found this cheered me in the pandemic and I hope these constructions will bring happiness to others.
